From Austria
From Villach to Tarvisio in Italy, past Lake Predil and over the Predel pass, through Log pod Mangartom and past the Kluže fortress into Bovec.
From Kranjska Gora
Over the Vršič mountain road into the Trenta valley and down along the Soča to Bovec. The Vršič road can be closed in winter.
From Ljubljana and Italy
From central Slovenia via Tolmin and Kobarid. From Venice on the motorway towards Udine, then via Cividale and Kobarid to Bovec.
Airports
Klagenfurt (~1 h 10 min by car), Trieste (~1 h 30 min), Ljubljana (~2 h).
The last bit: In Bovec drive to the Petrol station. Above it, on the slope, you will see a white house with brown balconies. Turn towards the Kanin cable car and after 50 m turn right, straight to the parking in front of the house.
